Nexia Agbo Abel & Co. donates to NCDC to support fight against COVID-19
The world currently navigates uncharted waters. The COVID-19 pandemic is changing the way we do business and interact, but at Nexia Agbo Abel & Co., it has not changed its values. In commemoration of its annual Nexia Day which has become an avenue to carry out its Corporate Social Responsibility, the firm decided to make donations to support the fight against coronavirus in Nigeria.
On Wednesday, 22 July 2020, the firm visited the Headquarters of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) in Abuja, and donated personal protective equipment ─ in the form of face masks and coveralls. The team representing Nexia Agbo Abel & Co. was led by Mr. Kofi Peddler, the firm’s Director, Audit and Assurance Services, who disclosed that Nexia would always give physical expression to its motto “closer to you” through its community support activities. He maintained that it was therefore vital that they join the fight against the ravaging disease in whatever way possible, even while marking the International Nexia Day 2020.
Receiving the donations on behalf of the Director General of the NCDC, Mr. Yakubu Abdullahi, the Director of Administration of the NCDC, thanked the firm for her donation and stated that it would assist in the efforts towards containing the coronavirus.
